Senior Contracts Manager – Railway Projects
The Client
Our client is part of a multi-billion dollar engineering conglomerate that undertakes large EPC projects in Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Pipelines, Process Plant Engineering, Thermal Power, Civil Construction and related sectors. With a presence in several cities in Asia, our client offers a very strong track record in successfully delivering large and complex projects. It employs several thousand qualified and motivated people; and has recorded impressive overall growth rates over the past decade.
For its forthcoming railway projects in India, our client is interested in bringing on board :
Position : SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER – Railway Projects

Location : Major Cosmopolitan City, India
Responsibilities :
The selected candidate will interface between corporate Contracts Management and different Project Management teams for large EPC projects for Mono Rail and Mass Rapid Transit Systems. He/She will be responsible for :
§ Guiding Project Management teams during finalization of contracts between the Company, its Clients and sub-contractors
§ Managing Site Contracts Team in all spheres of Contracts Management
§ Guiding site level Contracts team in preparation of variations, claims and dispute resolution, identification of claims from inception, substantiation of claims, claim statement preparations
§ Preparation and handling key contracts/documents, seeking lawyers opinions and recommendations
§ Dispute resolution and closing of claims through arbitration
§ Implementation of benchmarked Contract Monitoring System
Requirements :
§ B.E/B. Tech from a reputed institution with at least 10 years of relevant Contract Management experience. An additional degree in Business/Law/Supply Chain management will be preferred.
§ Exposure to large projects in Railway Sector preferred
§ Fully conversant with modern contract management techniques, business and software systems.
§ A proven ability to manage multiple projects.
§ Financially & commercially astute.
§ Ability to control risks and costs through effective contract management.
§ Results orientated, self-driven individual.
§ Strong communication and presentation skills.
§ Fluency in English is essential.
